Vintage style clothing has made a huge comeback in the last decade as fashion trends have begun repeating themselves and thrifting has become mainstream. I have never been a big thrifter, but I really appreciate the vintage styles of the 1950's through the 1980's even down to kids clothing. So, when I find well-made vintage style clothing for kids that's brand new I definitely do a double take because it's just too lovely to pass up.

Lacey Lane makes the cutest vintage inspired girl clothing, and mixes and matches the prints in a modern way. You'll find suspenders, bloomers, peter pan collars and bows. I'm not an overly girly girl, but Elle sure is.

She wanted to put all of the bows in her hair at once, and right away gravitated toward the corduroy skirt (twirl tested and all). I love these pieces because they are detailed at every angle. You'll find the skirts lined with prints and wooden buttons instead of plastic. These are pieces that I will save and put in her cedar chest so she can pass them down to her kids.

There's nothing more sweet than a toddler in a cute skirt showing off her baby thighs. Elle is almost two, and I have to get as much of her chubby-leg cuteness while I can.

Lovey Lake is a cute little Esty shop that makes adorable jumpers, dresses and skirts for girls. I got to meet Leah Davidson, creator of Lovey Lake, when I spoke at Craft Culture a couple months ago. Out of the sweetness of her heart she sent me two skirts for Elle to try. They are perfect for this summer. She uses machine washable, breathable cotton fabric. I really love the metallic pocket that she added on to the striped skirt. Though I know Elle will outgrow her clothes quickly, I love that these patterns transcend seasons too.
