Jenny & Jesse Styled

Over the past couple of years I've looked forward to fall not only because of the cooler weather, but because that I get to style love birds for their engagement sessions almost every week. I had the pleasure of working with Jenny and Jesse, clients of Gina Meola's, for their photo session last month. They were dream clients who flew all of the way from San Francisco to Scottsdale to have their love captured among the gorgeous desert. After a VERY successful shopping trip with Jenny we found not one, not two, but THREE outfits for her to wear. That's my kind of client right there - a gal that loves to show off her style.

Check out some photos of Jenny and Jesse below, and make sure to head on over to Gina Meola's blog to see more.

Menswear - Pattern Mix Up

For the first time, I really feel like menswear is coming alive. I'm seeing more accessories, more color risks and much more mixing and matching of patterns. The winter is the perfect time to mix herringbone, hounds-tooth, plaid, tartan and striped patterns. This goes for women's clothing too!

And, if you want to go a step further, mix textures as well...A striped knit tie, mixed with a wool herringbone jacket and a silk hounds-tooth pocket square.

I'm SO inspired by this trend, I already have something in the works to incorporate it in a photo shoot. I'm looking forward to sharing it soon. =) In the mean time, start getting creative and shopping for patterns!

Stylin' Daddy

I'm in the stage where all of my friends are havin' babies left and right. Even though I'm not there yet, it's pretty cool to watch friends settle into their new roles as parents, especially guys. The best is seeing their hearts melt with every smile, giggle and coo. So, with Father's Day just around the corner, this post is for them! Here are some awesome summer menswear styles that I'm lovin'!

Menswear - Pea Coats

The holiday season is over and stores are preparing their floors for spring. Most people will be wearing coats until April (unless you're in AZ, which is more like until the end of February), but the sale racks will be filled with warm clothes and outerwear. So, now is the time to by a winter coat.

My number one recommendation - the classic pea coat. It NEVER goes out of style. You will always look stylish in a pea coat. You can find them at J.Crew, Banana Republic, GAP, American Eagle and any major department store.
